Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TravelBeast(“TravelBeast,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a product operated by BeastOS, a sole proprietorship based in Texas, United States, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, web application, and mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and login credentials. We receive your user identifier and email to operate your account.
- Trip details. Information you enter to generate or save itineraries — destination, travel dates, party size, departure city, travel style, vibe, and free-text preferences — along with any itineraries, packing lists, and expenses you create or save.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number; we retain only your subscription tier, status, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers needed to manage billing.
- Communications. If you contact us, we keep the contents of your message and our reply.
Location information
TravelBeast includes an optional “Use my location” feature. When you tap it, your device asks your permission to share your precise GPS location. If you allow it, we use those coordinates only to bias activity suggestions toward where you currently are. Your location is sent to our AI providers (below) to generate that suggestion and is not stored on our servers or used to track you. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your browser or device settings; the rest of the Service still works without it.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data. Like most online services, our hosting and infrastructure providers may log IP address, browser type, device information, and basic usage events for security and reliability.
- Cookies & local storage. We use cookies set by our authentication and payment providers to keep you signed in and to process payments. We also use your browser’s local storage to save trips and expenses on your device (especially when you are not signed in). See “Cookies & Local Storage” below.
2. How We Use Information
- To generate AI travel itineraries, packing lists, and activity suggestions you request;
- To create and manage your account and saved trips;
- To process subscriptions, payments, and billing;
- To provide features such as maps, flight tracking, and trip sharing;
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. AI Processing
To build your itineraries and suggestions, the trip details you provide (and, if you enable it, your location) are sent to third-party artificial-intelligence providers — currently Anthropic, Google, and Groq — which process the request and return generated content. We send only the information needed to fulfill your request. These providers process the data on our behalf to deliver the result.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers (subprocessors) that operate the Service on our behalf, including Clerk (authentication), Neon (database hosting), Stripe (payments), Mapbox (maps), Anthropic / Google / Groq (AI generation), and OpenSky Network (flight tracking).
- Booking partners. When you click a booking or “Search” link (e.g., Viator, GetYourGuide, Booking.com, Skyscanner), you are taken to that partner’s website, which operates under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies, including for affiliate commission tracking. See “Affiliate Links” below.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TravelBeast, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Affiliate Links
TravelBeast participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain booking links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those third-party sites are not controlled by us, and their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service — for example, to keep you signed in (Clerk) and to process payments (Stripe). We use your browser’s local storage to save your trips, packing lists, and expenses on your device. You can clear local storage and block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working if you do.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account and trip information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain billing records as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. You can also delete saved trips within the app and manage your account through your profile.
- Location. You control location sharing through your browser or device permissions.
- Marketing. Any non-essential emails will include an unsubscribe option.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to know, access, delete, correct, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, contact us at the email below.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Users
We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process your information there and in other countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact Us
