Barcelona in 4 Days: Gaudí, Beaches, and Tapas
June 29, 2026 · 1 min read
Barcelona blends beach, architecture, and one of Europe's best food scenes. Four days covers the essentials without rushing. Here's the plan.
Day 1 — Gaudí's masterpieces
The Sagrada Família (book a timed entry) and Park Güell in the morning, then Casa Batlló and La Pedrera along Passeig de Gràcia.
Day 2 — The Gothic Quarter
Wander the medieval lanes of the Barri Gòtic and El Born, visit the Cathedral and Picasso Museum, and stroll La Rambla to the Boqueria market.
Day 3 — Beach & Barceloneta
A slow morning at the beach, seafood in Barceloneta, and sunset from the Bunkers del Carmel viewpoint.
Day 4 — Montjuïc or day trip
The gardens, museums, and castle of Montjuïc, or a day trip to Montserrat.
Budget note
Mid-range, around €90–150 per person per day. The metro is excellent and cheap.
Pack for Barcelona
- An anti-theft crossbody bag — Barcelona is beautiful and, like most big tourist cities, has pickpockets — worn in front, zipped
- Comfortable walking shoes — you'll cover a lot of ground between the Gothic Quarter and Gaudí's sites
- A European plug adapter (Type C/F) — for charging everything overnight
- A local eSIM — data the moment you land, no hunting for airport wifi
